Originally from Humboldt, Nebraska, John Maschman earned his undergraduate degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Mr. Maschman then attended the University of Iowa-College of Law in Iowa City, Iowa. During law school, Mr. Maschman was a research assistant for the Family Representation Clinic. He was a finalist in the law school’s moot court competition and subsequently served as an officer on the Moot Court Board. After graduating, Mr. Maschman worked as a law clerk for district court judges of Iowa’s 8th (Ottumwa area) and 5th (Des Moines area) Judicial Districts. Mr. Maschman enjoys coaching and judging all varieties of mock trial and moot court teams throughout the state.
