Michael Boal was born and raised in Ankeny, Iowa. In 2011, he earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Political Science and Communication Studies. Mr. Boal then attended the University of Nebraska College of Law and graduated in 2015. During law school, he served as chairperson of the Nebraska Moot Court Board, member of the Nebraska Law Review, and president of the Student Bar Association. He also worked at the Lancaster County Attorney’s Office throughout law school.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Boal worked in Adel, Iowa as a law clerk for district court judges in Iowa’s Fifth Judicial District. He then spent a year with Justice Edward Mansfield on the Iowa Supreme Court. These opportunities have provided Mr. Boal with the valuable experience necessary to evaluate a case through the perspective of Iowa’s trial and appellate court judges.
Mr. Boal lives in Des Moines with his wife, Dani, and their dog, Warner. In his free time Mr. Boal enjoys playing the piano, spending time with family, and performing in the Des Moines theatre community.
